... no more alchemy nodes? no fungus? what will they use? Makes sense since Fungus Nodes only provide materials for sub-combines Well Sub-sub-Combines... I guess Alchemist are now solely Spell Crafters (well Combat Arts Crafters) Also, didn't I hear someone say that Cobalt Armor is going to be Nerfed, too? If so I need to get Mistey a set of Pre-Nerf armor made (looks Saines way)... Also, Also,,, I wander what will happen with all the sub combines/materials that a person has in their inventory

Yea alchemists will only use the loams now.
As far as cobalt, I think that nerf is supposed to be going in soon too, though there was no mention of it in these notes. I can make Mistey the armor if you mail me the cobalt, some indium and a couple of roots...However, I don't get to play a whole lot now since the babies were born, so it may take me a few days to actually make the stuff. But, I'd be happy to do it if you don't mind the wait.

It wasn't supposed to be as good as they made it (which is why T7 armor looks crappy, it doesn't scale right compared to the way ebon to cobalt did) so they are apparently going to nerf it back to what it should have been. People are saying that existing cobalt armor won't be affected though, only stuff crafted after the nerf.

But, I'd be happy to do it if you don't mind the wait. She's has a few levels before she can fit into it anyway so the wait in no problem. Only deadline is pre-Nerf. BTW, your mailbox is full so I can't send you anything... Or was that a hint... j/k... How many mails to it take to stuff an mailbox anyway???

I am just glad to be rid of sub combines. one of the reasons I have not progressed a lot in TS.

do we know when they are actually implementing the sub-combines being taken out? As far as I can tell there is no official word at this point. Speculation has it coming out in LU 24 or LU 25. Update notes have been published on TU 24 which doesn't say anything about it so that would be a strong indication that it will be in LU 25. LU 25 (from what I understand) will go live with the Echoes of Faydwe expansion or the Fallen Dynasty adventure pack (not sure which) So, expect big changes in the next couple LU's - Stun Nerf in LU24 TS revamp in LU25

The stuff I have been reading on the SoE forums said they hope to have this changed by LU 24, they didn't want to wait til 25. Probably because that's arouund when the expansion will be released and might be a little too much at once. Though that has never stopped them before lol Yesterday in this thread, I posted the Tradeskill part of the notes of the update that went on TEST yesterday. One of the changes on there said something along the lines of "With the removal of subcombines, the cities of Qeynos and Freeport have been forced to do inventory blah blah blah..." So it looks like the changes are on Test now. We usually get them on the live servers a week or 2 after they have been on test. (unless they do a part a, part b etc. but it doesn't look like that was done in this case) Either way, the changes should be soon. I still have mixed feelings on this one!

This was an update from Blackguard...
Tradeskills: The highly anticipated no-subcombine changes have started making their way to the server. So far, the scholar and outfitter changes are on Test. Coming in the next Test update, carpenters and woodworkers will be getting the changes as well.
