Well, I wandering through Riliss in The Fens of Nathsar and decided to look at a certain merchant. what do I see? Advanced Recipe books for all Professions level 70-75. A cost of 10GP, 36 SP, 80 CP. However, you need to have a Faction with Riliss of +10K or better So...you can either kill mobs in the swamp and hope for a drop appropriate to your class, or buy an advanced recipe book on the broker for ~17 gp, or do the quests to raise your city faction up to +10K with Riliss, or request your friendly neighborhood Ogre gets the books for you (provided you send him the cash, sooner or later). Kirac is currently @+9931 Riliss faction, should be clear in ~20 minutes of quest work. I can get you the first 5 scroll, no problems. However, does anyone know where the rest of the Advanced Recipe scrolls (lvl 76-80) are? and what do I have to do to get them? (+10K is a fair number of quests.) A little lead time on the numbers I need for the rest of the scrolls would be very beneficial.

Danak Shipyards
Once you have obtained level 75 in your crafting profession, Greeblentus back in Teren's Grasp should offer you a further quest series, starting with "High Risk, Higher Profits", which will gain you faction and a virtual letter of introduction to Work Requisition Sergeant Zildrax at the Danak Shipyards in Jasarth Wastes. This will allow you to perform crafting writs for faction with this group of iksar for your level 76+ advanced crafting goodies. ___________________________________________________

If i remember correctly those recipe books are no-trade,so you would have to work up your faction to buy them(by doing quests)..or do the special trade-skill faction writs for the appropriate faction. Takes tons of these writs though, but it's the only way for low level adventurers who are high level crafters to gain faction.

Thanks for the info.

I believe that Lexia is correct about the purchased Advanced Books being NO-TRADE, similar to the ones that were sold in Maj Dul. So unless you are a faction writ nut, you will be looking to either whacking mobs and hoping to get lucky, or shelling out your hard coin to the Broker. Or, hoping that some kind Guildie gets lucky and finds what you need in a drop somethere, hehe....

OK. I confirmed what you said. The advanced Recipe books are No-Trade. But they are exactly the same as the ones you can find from Mob Drops (and I have found a few of those so far). What sucks was I bought the Lvl 70 Tailor and it had TWO, that is right 2, recipes. I guess SOE got uncreative for the 70 recipes...

Kirac, I am not sure about the level 70 recipe books, but with the lower level ones, you can right click to examine them before purchasing, and it lists the recipes they contain. At least, I am pretty sure you can. As for having only 2 recipes, as an armorer, I feel your pain.

I have just learned of this pain this week on my Woodworker. Most books seem to have 1 recipe and the recipe for the imbued version ;/
My jeweler on the other hand gets like 23134545 recipes in every book.

As for recipes counts, Sages get a minimum of 8 per level (at least 1 new spell for each Mage and each Priest class per level). Sages ROCK (but can't sell spells worth a darn on broker as noone wants them). Jewelers do pretty well (1 spell per Scout class per level minimum, but usually a few items added in to bulk out the recipe count). Armorers and Weaponsmiths definitely get the short end of the stick.
