Many of you have heard rumor of your Dwarven Work Boots giving you a better harvesting rate for rares. I'm not quite sure if that is true... but there IS a quest to make your work boots Fabled and a bit more friendly on the harvesting end, especially if you're only short one or two points to make it to the next zone. Here is a walk-through to upgrade your Dwarven work boots. This has been provided by EQ2 Traders Corner. Dwarven Work Boot Upgrade

Thanks for the post, Shy. The only drawback seems to be that this quest is started from a dropped, no-trade "leather insoles" that can drop from Garanel Rucksif in the Estate of Unrest. I would love to do this upgrade but I imagine a bunch of other guildies will as well, so I can envision the need for quite a few Tairise runs at Unrest !

We can make that a project then for those interested. I love unrest as well. All we need is a balanced group and 3 hours. Maybe we can do unrest groups on Saturday mornings or even Friday nights? I'm game for whenever

Yeah, Fridays are generally bad for me (the rest of you can have at him, all you want ;D). Still, that gives at least 2 reasons to go to Unrest (EoF set armor pieces and DWB upgrade). Unrest is a fun kind of zone. Challenges exist but are not really insurmountable. Too bad the links don't describe the upgrade Quest anymore indepth. I am curious if it is a quick quest or something long and drawn out.

From reading it looks like it is just, 1. Get drop 2. Examine drop 3. Turn in old boots for new ones.

Yeah, looks like a full Unrest clear is involved for each ultra rare chance at a drop. It only drops off the end dude Garanel Rucksif ;(

I too enjoyed my foray through Unrest and am more than willing to go back at any time. Too bad the drop of the starter item is described as "Uncommon" !!

I'd enjoy some Unrest runs as well. Any late-shift folks interested?
