In order to even start the artisan epic line you will need -20k faction with Bathezid's Watch in Fen's.
The quest New Lands,New Profits will also be a requirement:

Once you've completed this quest you can then go to Bathezid's Watch and do faction writs for them.Each one of these writs will give +750 faction,keep doing them till you reach -20k in order to start the epic quest line.
This is for those that are master crafters but low level adventurers who are unable to gain faction any other way
You will also be able to do faction writs for Riliss as well,but not needed for epic.
