Ok, so I was wondering if anyone had the best locations for harvesting by teir? I was thinking it might be two different directions, one for good quantity harvesting and another for safe harvesting for those close or below the Adv level of the tier:
I have been mining T4 this week and I have enjoyed mining in Zek because of all the other stuff that can be done, but I have heard that I should go to Splitpaw or CoD to harvest but I am not sure what/where CoD is and if it is safe to harvest there at 39:
For the other three tiers I figured I could get this list started with my recommendations for Harvesting:
T1. Oakmist Forest / Training Island. I left the island after getting to 3, but I found Oakmist to be a fantastic place for T1 harvesting. Lots of harvests in a small area in an easy cycle to repeat. Lots of collectibles too.
T2. I hate harvesting T2 in Kelethin, Antonica around the little Inn or around the North Qeynos tower were the best areas to me.
T3. I like BB for Metal Harvesting, TS for Food/Bella Harvesting.
T4. I have mostly been harvesting in Zek, but it is NOT a safe zone. For safer Harvesting I would recommend EL.

If you have not seen this, it is a pretty handy guide (in general) to what spawns where. Not so much specific locations, but it has helped me when I have moved into a new harvesting tier: The Node Knows

T1 FP Graveyard is good for the evils among us, as well.
T2 I like harvesting near the druid rings in Commonlands. You do have to watch out for the hyenas or whatever they are. There is a regular collectible spawn right by the rings. It's also great to harvest there while you're waiting for Return of the Light HQ spawns (Lightbringer, Raman'nai).
T3 Eternal Gorge! It's an instanced zone you can get to from the top of Zarvonn's Tower in CL (by the Nek gate). Zone in, cherry pick what you want, zone out and re-enter. Everything's refreshed. You can cherry pick to your heart's content, and not have mobs of angry harvesters chasing after you with a pickaxe!
I also like Nek in the fields below the middle griffon station (I'm blanking on the name of that one).
T4 EL by the docks is easy, but it's also crowded. Go at an odd hour. I have good luck there if I get up early & harvest before breakfast.

CoD is the Cove of Decay, which is really close to Splitpaw in TS. You will have two long quest lines to finish, if you want CoD access, and also if you want a stone that can teleport you to Splitpaw, once an hour.
CoD is good for T4 harvesting, once you have "greyed" out the mobs. I think that would require you to be adventure level 43 or so to grey them out. The reason it's recommended, is because that it's a small instance that you can clear by yourself, zone out, rinse and repeat.
For T3 harvesting, there is an instance in Commonlands called Zarvonn's tower. It has no aggro mobs at all, if you are not a guild raid quest at the time. Even if you are, you would probably get a selection of which instance you wanted to zone into. The tower is by Nek Forest zoneline, and I've used it for training all my toons in harvesting for T3. It's much safer than Nek, TS and BBM. Plus there is a bonus for being an instance, as it all repops the nodes when you zone in.
For T5, I hung out in Feerott, and parts of Steamfont. All aggro, all the time.
For T6, Sinking Sands, Pillars of Flame, and Lesser Faydark.
For T7, I've only done the Kingdom of Sky zones. Tenebrous Tangle, which is good for 58-63 and Barren Sky, which has mobs that average around level 67. I can kill the level 67 mobs with my level 63 fury, but it's not very efficient. Too many resists.
I don't know what adventure level would be safe to go to Loping Plains, which should be another T7 zone.
I highly recommend commonlands for T2 harvesting.

It really depends on your level. At level 70, here's a list of excellent places: T1 - Sunken city in Freeport. You only have to go through half the zone (the other half has no nodes cause it's underwater , and it's easy to get into a grinding pattern there. Kinda boring, but efficient. Can support 2, maybe 3 people at a time. T2 - Out and about in the Commonlands. There are a bunch of places that are full of nodes, and everyone's always picking Antonica clean to they leave CL alone. ;D Like Fasci said, around the druid rings is a very nice place, as well as just north of the Freeport Griffon Tower. An alternative if you don't like CL is in the far Northeast corner of Antonica, west of the littel foresty area and north of the spires. Lots of nodes there and it's out of the way enough that you rarely see people there. Can only support 1, maybe 2 people at a time though. T3 - Never tried Eternal Gorge, sounds like a perfect place! I mostly harvest in Thundering steppes at the Centaurs near RoV. HUGE amount of nodes there, but occasionally crowded. Can easily support 3-4 people harvesting at a time. T4 - Cove of Decay in Thundering Steppes. It's got a lengthy access quest, and you need to be in the mid-40's to grey out all of the skele's in there. But it's great if you can harvest there, cherry pick all you want, and once it's clear just zone out and back in, and they're respawned! Just be careful not to kill anything, otherwise you could get locked out. T5 - Up the path on the west side of EF, and the big open area at the end of that path are great places. Gotta be in the low 60's to grey the stuff out though. It'll support 2-3 people at a time. T6 and T7 don't really have any great harvesting areas, with one exception. If you're a provisioner in T7 head to Gazer Island in the Tenebrous Tangle. On the half of the isle away from the cloud thinger it's covered in shrubberies. Unfortunately, it's relatively well known about, so it might already be camped. It'll support 2 people if they're friendly, but 3 is near impossible. Just be sure not to kill any of the fairies, if they go KOS on you, you won't be able to harvest there til you grey them out at 70.
