I need to start bringing in a steady supply of Feyiron clusters (common tier 4 ore). I can harvest with Amylia (36 sk), Thela (38 conj), or Payge (32 fury with SoW). I have been doing most of my tier 4 harvesting close to the dock area in Enchanted Lands. Unfortunately, there is mostly wood, bushes, and animal den spawn in that area. This is great for everything, but the feyiron.
My question is this: What is the place where I will find most Tier 4 ore spawning? Either in EL in a relatively safe area, or perhaps Zek? Steamfont has too many aggro mobs to get much harvesting accomplished.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,

I stumbled on a place in Zek that seemed pretty good... but I don't remember how to get there. It was a respawn point... to the northwest, I believe. I haven't done much expoloring in Zek yet. I've also had some good luck with feyiron in EL, by the spiral lake. Just watch out for the snakes. The big cats are pretty easy to avoid, but the snakes always seem to sneak up on me! And don't go in the water... I hear CoD is good, too, but I'm too low-level to go in there without a whole lot of dying! Are certain harvesting spots better for one type of harvest than others? I always thought they were random, as long as the whole node gets cleared each round. -Brandl

If you were a high level (50+), I'd say do the Cove of Decay access quest in TS. When you enter CoD, there are T4 harvesting nodes lying around everywhere. And when you've gotten what you want, zone out and zone back in! Unfortunately, you can only do this once everything's grey, and they're heroic mid-30's in there.
Instead of EL, have you tried Zek? Up near DFC, before you get to the bridge, there's a wide open area with a lot of nodes lying around. There some solo mid to high 30's wandering around, but you should have no trouble taking them out with your shadderknight or conj. Just be careful of the lumberjacks, they're in groups of two, which can surprise you sometimes, since the other may be nowhere in sight.
Hope this helps!

It does not really answer your question, but a handy chart for resources can be found here: RESOURCES CHART

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm not sure which lake you are referring to. About Zek, I've read that the area around Three Toes Watering Hole, in the North West is a very safe spot to harvest, but I've never been that deep into Zek. I should probably be pretty safe traversing there with either a SoW totem or invis totem, I presume. CoD is out for the time being. I hope to be finished with Tier 4 harvesting, except for occasional orders to fill, by the time I get to the 50s.

I logged on Amylia this morning for my 40 minute EQ 2 experience. Checked my broker, banked my resources and headed out to Zek. I picked up a few quests for the level 30s, since I hadn't visted that zone yet. As soon as I head over the wall, I picked up a few harvests, and then proceed to use the invis totem and head toward Three Toes. About half way to that area, a group of prowlers (cats) spot me and invis breaks. So I see them have double down arrows and think to myself. Self: I can take these cats. So I go into combat mode and proceed to waste them. Once they are down to about half force, here come the orc adds. Alright I get the cats down to just one, and then attempt to Feign, since there are way too many orcs beating on me. Of course FD fails, and I end up doing the respawn dance. How fortunate for me, that I end up respawning at Three Toes. There are plenty of Ore nodes and soft metal nodes, ripe for the picking. Lo and Behold a cluster of level 33 and 34 orcs (non-heroic) that are nearby and also ripe for the picking. So not only do I have a wonderful source of raws to harvest, I also have blue to me orcs ready to be killed for sweet exp. Thanks for the tips everyone, I'll have to check out the Spiral Lake after I get tired of old Three Toes. Zek seems to be the place to be for my woodworking craft.

just a side-note on something you mentioned.
people have scoffed at me for having my FD be at master lvl, but I can count on 1 finger the times my FD has failed me...0!!!
