Also, I am pretty sure I get a 8min 30sec timer. What about everyone else.

Yeah, Mirul, if you are Qeynos based then after getting your Writ from the table just jump over the railing.
Other than that, just make sure you have plenty of raw materials on hand and tons and tons of fuel.
BTW, did you know you can sell fuel back to the merchant in the Artisan House for what you paid for it? Other merchant's will buy it back at discounted prices by the merchants that sale fuel buy it back a cost. So, I always over buy fuel then sell back my unused fuel when I quite.

Yeah, 8min 30 secs sounds right. What threw me on raws was I've been concentrating on clothes and my writ had me make a satchel or something like that that required carbonite so I didn't have any :-( I will know going forward. I will jump over the railing from now on but I still think that the timer shouldn't start until you click "create"... but that's just me;-p

Hmm... maybe it was 8 min. 30 sec. Sounds about right. Mirul, from what I can remember with karis, you'll need Carbonite, Pelts, Belladonna Roots, and Severed Ash. I didn't need anything else.

Hmm I thought it was just 8 minutes on mine, though it could have been 8:30.
Like Candu, I get offered a different choice, probably because I am further into the level. At level 65 mine were Talented T7, Regular T7 and Difficult T6.
I didn't bother with the T6 ones because I don't have those raws and they can be expensive. My T7 ones were always blue and green though. The talented are blue, the regular are green. So far I haven't been given a white one. I wonder if that's just the luck of the draw, or maybe there are no even ones being done for armorers. Did you get more status for the even ones?
Also, Candu I think you are a level or 2 higher than me, how much status are you getting for your talented ones? I get approx 8400. Just wondering if it's set by the tier or by the level.
It sounds like the different classes require different combinations of things also. My talented require 1 of 1 item, 1 of another item, 2 of another item, then 2 of another item. The regular are 3 of 1 item then 3 of another item. Part of my problem is looking through all the recipies trying to find the right one when they switch on the talented. I finally filtered it down to about 25 different recipies to look through, it eats up a lot of time. I wish you could see ahead of time what you needed!

For me, I just type in what the next recipe is... it filters pretty fast.

I went up a level and now all the combines are blue so I am not sure what happened. Maybe I was just seeing things...
At level 66 I was getting 8252sp per Writ and it was always a level 64 quest (which I thought was odd). But the 8252 was constant. That's for the Talented Rush level, lower levels had lower sp. I just can't figure out the Level 64 quest "thing". At level 67 the quest is still level 64 so since I am higher level my status gain actually went DOWN to 8086sp per Writ.
I have filters for every tier, so, I activate the Level 60-70 filter and then I only have to type in 2 or 3 letters of the name to find it (and when you have dyslexia, typing is a BIG deal). Also, I have the quest helper window open and pull the slider bar down to show what the next requirement is, so I can be typing and not to have to wait for the journal to update. Save a few secs...

Ooooh I didn't realize that it had a slider on it! My quest window is small, but normally I would see a scroll bar, I musta missed it. Well, that's definitely a good thing to know! That should save me a little more time. (Though I'm not having too much trouble meeting the time now that I got the hang of it)

I was going to mention sliding the quest window down some to see all the items you needed to craft, but I thought you'd do that all ready, hehe.
Hmm.. Candu, now that you're level 67, did you check to see if the "Tier 7 Rush Order" gave you more status than the "Talented" one? The "Tier 7 Rush Order" might give you level 67 recipes to craft. When I hit level 51, my "Tier 6 Rush Order" was only made up of level 51 recipes, none of my 50 or 51 recipes.

I'm confused. I dinged lvl28 on Wednesday night and didn't do any crafting writs. However, last night I did a rush order writ, the top level one (in the list that you get to chose from) and it wasn't a lvl 28 writ nor a lvl 27. I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it was a 24 or 25 recipe that I had to make. My sp was something like 1500 (not sure of the exact pts), these were more than the non-rush order writs. When should I be seeing even writs?

I don't understand your question?
Are you asking when should you be seeing level 28 writs since you're a level 28? If so, I think the writs are random. They randomly go with level 24 or even 27. To test things out, you can pick up a rush order, then look at the details in your journal. You can then "delete" the rush order from your jounal if it is giving you recipes that are not to your liking or if they're too low.

Yeah, that was my question. It seemed like the higher level crafters were getting even level writs when they were choosing the first choice on the rush order writs. When I was choosing the same thing I don't seem to be getting even levels, they seem to be blue or green. I very well could be mistaken though as I've only done one rush order and one regular (untimed) order. I'll check this out and see. No worries. Thanks!

More information on the crafting writs.
As I said, I started the writs when I became level 51, so my writs included T6 (50+) and T5(40+).
Typically the "talented" writs were worth more status versus the regular writs, well after I hit level 54, I no longer could make T5 stuff and then my Talented T6 (which use to be Talented T5) changed. Now the Talented writs are worth more.
Also, until I hit level 54, I was working with blue recipes. At level 54, I've bumped up to white recipes.
