I have a hard decision to make, I feel as though I will problably focus on one alt only, this alt is also going to be my craftsman to feed my housing addiction.
I am leaning towards the Swashy as my alt, question is do I make him an alchemist or carpenter. How expensive is poison on the market?
Amoa, I see you are only 33 alchemist, do you purchase your poisons for 70th lvl fighting or are you workin up alchemist to make them yourself?
It just does not seem right to make a poison class that cant make his own poisons. What do you guys think?
Go with what I want? Or min/max the class?

I say pick the tradeskill you like best as they generally are kind of tedious to do. We have a few alchemists though but not so many carpenters...

Go with what you want, that's what I'd say. Cause you can always ask one of the guild alchemists to make poison for you anyway. Plus, with you furniture addiction, I think you'd be better off going carpenter anyway. ;D Though alchemist is rather easy to level up, and will be much moreso once the interim-less system gets online.

I agree, do what you think you will like best. Crafting is tedious enough as it is, better to do something you might enjoy a little.

T7 poisons a step backwards?? Oh ho ho, I love the Ignorant Bliss (-800 hate on successful proc) in groups or on raids, especially when the MT is lower than me. Not to mention the mana drain and life drain for soloing... the Warding Ebb and other debuffers are very nice too. It's a little tricky figuring out which ones stack with what, but overall I love the T7 poison selection simply b/c it offers abilities like hate reduction that don't exist in any other tier. I still use Adeste's for my main damage, but I'll get around to Grandmaster's Caustic one of these days. Just my .02, your mileage may vary. Ranger out!

Aye, I used Adeste's + Glox for the majority of T6. I'm mixing it up now as I'm trying to deplete all my old poison reserves before I invest more heavily in T7. (Nevermind that I'm 70 and using mostly T6 poisons!) You're right that Vitality Breach will (sadly) not stack with Adeste's. Generally speaking, the stacking rules haven't changed, but I remember something surprised me about the % rule - how you could stack one 25, one 15, and one 10 before, which basically followed the damage, debuff, special effects rule you mentioned. I'll have to look into it again to remember what exactly it was that deviated from that rule, though. And yes, Grandmaster's Caustic is the T7 equivalent of Adeste's, IIRC.
