A lot of you are aware that with our latest update that we get less exp for each item we create, however, each artisan level requires less exp to gain the next level. Some of you have experienced how easily and quickly one can level as an artisan. I just wanted to see how people feel about this. Is this good? Is this bad? Is this a bug? Should I be crafting like nuts before they 'fix' this? lol

Personally I am glad they changed this! Crafting is SOOOOO boring and tedious it feels like a chore to do it. At least now I have a hope of leveling a little in it.
I can completely see why level 60 crafters (well the ones that didn't bot anyway) would be peeved though. Would kind of suck to work through the monotony to level 60 only to have other people get there rather easily in comparison.
However, I think the other plus to this is that it should help bring the market prices lower again, some crafters were WAY out of control with what they were asking for combines/finished products. Now there will be more competition and hopefully it will help drive the prices down a lot.
Overall I'm very happy with this change, I hope they don't take it away!

Ok, I'm all for making crafting less tedious. Unfortunately, I think they went about it wrong. For example, I went from level 12 to level 13 by doing five crafts. That's it, five. One part of me thinks WOOHOO!! Another part thinks that this is a little bit out of control.
Personally I'd rather see more variety in crafting than faster levels. Maybe, more types of armor for armorsmiths, or different totems for woodworkers. Or better yet, multiple refine recipes that aren't for WORTs...

Sony went too far on this one. When you can level 2+ times in a day at mid level, it is too easy. Sure, it saves me a lot of time leveling up 5 different characters but it makes it way too easy for the average player. Plus, there are still a lot of people botting so the easier levels hasn't slowed that down either.
I do agree with Alkanos on one thing, get more variety on crafted items. This would be a perfect opportunity for Sony to introduce dyes. Since armorers and other crafters get basically no recipies in the latter half of a tier except for imbued, add in recipies for dyed versions of armor.

I think it's a bit off too. The other day, Ebou and Alk seemed to be battling it out for levels Before I logged for the day, Alk had gone from level 21 (I think) to level 25 without breaking a sweat. Seriously, I might have taken an average of 30 minutes a level? It was incredible.

Yeah, I ended the day at level 28, and only stopped because I was out of Vitality. O.O That was 4 hours worth of playing, and I got 8 levels.
It may be a little bit off, yeah. ;D

It may be very easy now, but I like it MUCH better...I refind 1 stack of fulginate yesterday and got 10% xp for it...makes it so I actually don't mind crafting so much. I honestly hope they don't change it lol
