Well, Kawaii finally made level 11 last night. For some silly reason, I thought I picked my subclass of Craftsman at this level. Low and behold, I get that at lvl 10. I was a craftsman and didn't realize it ;D (thanks zabia... lol) Anyway, I have a bazillion recipes for food! How do you guys keep it all straight? Do you guys keep a writen notebook of what food gives you xyz ability? My wee froggy is just feeling slightly overwhelmed

Did they ever change the way the extra bonuses on food worked?? Before it was out of combat sta/str/int etc..which is totally pointless, who wants it out of combat, I want that stuff IN combat lol
I think Palen just makes 1 of everything, then picks the drink he wants to make and levels up off that.

No doubt, why would it only be out of combat stats? lol
Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to have to do... it will give me good exp though.. for all the new stuff. But I'm going to have to keep a notebook or something to see which foods I want to make.

There is no organization for me. Fonia's bank is clogged up with stuff from all tiers. There are some basic things foods do but when you combine them it all changes. Nuts I think make int food, vegetables make wisdom food, fish is agi or sta, and meats are str or sta...I think. Then when you start making cakes they are power I think and stuff like pastas and soups are for health. I haven't seen a food that combines str and agi or str and sta etc, but the trail mixes give a bonus to both int and wis. What I usually do is make one of everything unless I need something from a lower tier to make it then I usually wont unless I find I have some of them in my cluttered bank. After you have made everything once then I usually start stocking up on the herb and spice items as they will be used for alot of recipes later on. I am sure Palen is much more organized than me so you may want to talk with him to get some real help with provisioner class as I tend to just see what I have and make stuff from it till I run out.
Zabia ps. I have noticed recently that you can have multiple foods up on your buff bar, like you can eat a power food and a health food. I am not sure if these are actually both in effect though

Ooo.. that's good information!
+ Intelligence = nuts + Wisdom = vegetables + Agility/Stamina = fishes + Strength/Stamina = meats + Power = pastries + Health = pastas
Is that a pretty good rule of thumb from what you all know? Any good rules of thumb for drinks?

Actually I think Pasta's give +STA, and soups give +HP. And pretty much any sweets (candied fayberry for example) give +PP. Otherwise that's pretty much it.

Do you guys know of a website that might have this information? A list of all the foods and their effects?
If not... I might make that for us!

FYI, food and drink is all messed up and confused. With LU 13, they have changed a lot with food/drink. The stat bonuses appear to be in/out of combat while the regen is out of combat only. One thing I did notice is that not everything is giving stat bonuses now. I may just be senile but I'm fairly sure some of the stat bonuses have been removed from several items. I know tier 6 items are completely different from all the previous tiers (let's hope they don't revamp all the tiers to match the new system). Go here for a lot of info on crafting in EQ2: eq2craft.computersims.com/I haven't checked it on the newer t6 recipies since the first week so don't know how much of that they have but it is fairly complete on most of the t1-t5 items. It lists everything by artisan type, level, book, etc. In some cases (mainly on armor) it also lists the stats of the final item.
