Much to the surprise of everyone on Ventrilo and in Vaults yesterday as Furflies said "Wait Syani I can make that right now"
Fur then starts waving his hands in the air looking all uber as he did so and much to the groups amazement a Workbench appeared right in the hallway of Vaults.
Bingo bango one Spongy expended and an Adept III was made in Vaults. How you might ask (Shy did). Our very own Nastybaby made me portable workbenches they have 5 charges each and last for 5 min and can make pristine stuff.
So hummmm Maybe now Nasty will be VERY BUSY... (Just remember NB I get my cut of the profit).

Yep, those are cool. I also like having one in my house which you can get from the city merchant for cash and status points.

omg, what have you started...so someone finally found a use for those tinkered toys.
btw, they come in all shapes and sizes so there's probably one that just right for everyone (eg chemistry, woodworkers, scribing, etc)

NastyBaby, I apologize if I spoke out of line when I mentioned you as my source.
If it is okay that I did that and you are willing to do the same for others please let us know what you need I will be a harvest hound to get as much as possible.
I see the guild doing really good things with these and was very proud to have shown it off the other night.

Out of line, lol - what are you talking about Tinkering for me was quite easy to max out once I got above tier 1 (so much easier than tradeskilling). I think in total it took about 3 days of work including all the harvesting when the price of raws was just ridiculous on the broker (ie anything more than 1sp). Besides the standard recipes I think the only ones I have are a couple of adornments for bows. At this time I am not convinced that the remaining recipes are worth purchasing. I really do enjoy crafting as well as adventuring - just depends on my mood swings (together with my brother we have about 5-6 crafters at T7 and the rest are at least T5). When I think about it, one of the main reasons we have so many crafters is because we play on a US server and are both from different timezones - so have just found it more convenient to be self supporting. Only downside for me atm is that my brother has been taking a break from gaming for a while so that kind of cuts down my choices on what I can get made easily. Getting back to what I wanted to say, if anyone needs anything crafted, it is always ok to ask me to craft something up and I'll see what I can arrange. I just prefer that you try the other "guild crafters" first as I really hate stepping on other peoples turf and am completely non-competitive in terms of tradeskilling. I really like how some of these discussions bring up some interesting possibilities that I have not thought of before. There is actually a tinkering recipe to create a mender that can be used by everyone for 5 min. The only downside of this is cost. The recipe costs about 25pp to purchase on the broker and each time you craft it, it costs about 7pp in materials. Definitely not something you want to do every day. A much cheaper alternative would be to make portable workbenches (or whatever carpenters use) so our higher level carpenters can make emergency repair kits on-the-fly if needed. Not sure how big the need is for this as I'm sure everyone carries a dozen repair kits with them when they go raiding.

I'll take two woodworking tables. I can wip up some repair kits on the fly. How much does it cost to make a table and do you need anything from me?

Shy, I just logged on and made you a couple.
They are made from common components and cost less than 4gp each (even with the over-inflated broker prices). So definitely consider them a gift.
You know when you have that rotten feeling that you might have made the wrong thing, well I have that now. If so, then pls send them to someone that wants whatever I made for you, and I'll make up some new toys of the right type for you.

Those mending bots are nice to bring on future raids as you guys move to places like Halls of Seeing and Deathtoll, nice to have one to pop after a few deaths.

Ciggy, those things are crazy expensive though... haha, I'd much rather use a few of my cheapy kits NB: thanks! I'll log in and check it out. Should be woodworking station. The one where carpenters and woodworkers use.
