Hi All:
I apologize in advance for the length of this post and hope that you will take the time to read it. With the release of Rise of Kunark (RoK) rapidly approaching, I am putting my battle plan together.
Since I am relatively new to Tairise, most of you are probably not aware that I am one of those truly insane peeps who actually has a passion for (gasp!) Tradeskilling !!! Yes, there are still some of us out there …. I realize that many of you view TS’ing as something to do when you are out of adventuring vitality or there are no groups doing interesting stuff, but as Fur/Kev, Eli and Gimbali can attest to, I am a dedicated Tradeskiller first and an Adventurer second. I enjoy breathing the fumes from my beloved chemistry table …. I am also a self confessed Harvesting junkie and am currently in a 12-step program trying to deal with my addiction !!!
Having made that confession, I need to plead for your assistance, please?
I will probably not make it to Level 70 before RoK is released and that creates a problem for me. Luckily my previous guildmates were VERY supportive of my passion and kept me well supplied with both raw materials and the necessary Advanced Recipe books that I needed to advance my craft. So, I would ask that as you travel through the new high level content areas, that you Please? Please? Please!!!! harvest any nodes that you might encounter and send the raws to me and donate any Advanced recipe books that you might receive as loot drops. In return for this, I am always willing to craft whatever I can that anyone needs and only ask that they provide the fuel costs and rare (if required).
I have purposely kept back and not made many of my higher level recipes to save the First Time experience bonus for after RoK goes live so that hopefully that will help speed up my leveling process. My Tradeskillers will be going into RoK with 100% TS vitality and I have booked vacation for the week that RoK comes out. I hope to be able to power my way to becoming a Level 80 Alchemist and maybe garner a few Server discoveries for Tairise along the way !!!
I will be leveling Alfreya to Lvl 80 first, then I have Toblior (an Armorer) and Acea (a Provi) who will be following suit unless any of you feel that a different progression would be preferable. I do this because I enjoy it, but also to benefit my fellow guild members as well, so please feel free to suggest a change if you feel it would be more beneficial to Tairise as a whole.
In preparation for completing the work orders that will be needed to level, I have already begun to stockpile the raw materials that I will require. My sister has graciously created a couple of new storage characters on her account so that I can stockpile both the Lvl 60-69 raws and the new Lvl 70-79 raws as they become available and I am in the process of acquiring storage containers to hold the materials that I receive. I already have storage toons for the rest of the levels, so if any of our casual tradeskillers fall short of raw materials, please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to check what supplies I have in storage. I always accept donations to the storage toons, so any of you that are out exploring please feel free to harvest those nodes and send me any raws that you can.
Unfortunately, since I am still only Lvl 61 it is still difficult for me to accumulate the level 60-69 raws. So, between now and the time that RoK goes live, I would ask our mighty adventurers to take some time and harvest the nodes that they pass by. Another alternative is what my old guild used to do and that is have a couple of harvest parties between now and Nov. 13th. What we would do is get as many peeps out harvesting in groups and just harvest, harvest, harvest for an hour or so. It is a great social experience and productive at the same time. Any rares that are harvested were either distributed as deemed equitable or banked for future guild use. This is also a great idea of something that can be done while you are low in Adventuring Vitality and really don’t want to Tradeskill.
I thank you all for taking the time to read this rather lengthy post and for any assistance that you might be willing to render in this regard.
