So, I have read the Geomancy, Weaver, and ... whatever the potions one is called.. Apothecary? books... ;D
Now, those books have been a life saver. I'm not dependent upon anyone really. My question is, what happens when I become a level 30 Carpenter? Are there supplemental books or volume #3s and volume #4s for sale?
If they are available, are they drops only that are sold on the market or can I buy these from the venders inside the tradeskill area?

The vendors in the tradeskill area sell the basic ones volumes 1-4. These will allow you to be independent with your crafting, and you will be able to make everything you need with them.
There are dropped ones also. I have seen a couple, I think they allow you to make the basic rare combines from whatever category they fall into. I found one for weaving or something, and it allowed me to turn a rare hide into a strip and a plate for example. Realistically though you probably won't need those.

What Saine said. The basic books can all be bought from the vendor. The dropped books are the advanced versions that allow you to work Rare raw materials. I really don't see much use for them for you. A sage would want the advance Apothecary books so they could make rare ink and conseqeuntly Adept III spells. I guess a jeweler would want them for the same reason.
What I am saying is, the only reason to get the advanced books is to be able to make some main Rare component that your class can't normally make. But, I am thinking that Carpenter's don't have that problem.

Excellent. For some reason, I thought I was going to have to depend on the kindness of strangers after I hit level 30 ^_^
