I'm a level 37 Troubador and I need some food and drink. I know that we were all talking about this the other night, but I didn't keep good notes. I mainly spoke with Palen. What do I need to get you again? I think for food, it was: Bear Meat, Shallots And for drink, it was: Apples, Honey, and Green Tea Leaves I have no idea Could you remind me Palen? Again, I'll supply any resources and coin needed for me to get a stack of food and drink. Thanks!

You've got the right ingredients in the right columns. I don't know what Palen was planning on making for you, but you might want to consider raw fish over bear meat as the fish will give you a bonus to AGI; bear meat gives you a bonus to STR. Depends on what you're looking for, you could be way more hardcore in melee than I realize. Specially since we haven't grouped together in years. (Great seeing you and Rioku last night on the froggies tho!! Kawaii is SO CUTE!!)

Hehe I basically asked Palen to make me something that was easy and quick. He suggested the above (at least I think so). Increased AGI is really nice though but so is STR... hmm! Haha thanks regarding Kawaii I danced a little jig for you and Amalia. Those froggies are really cute. Ebou (rio) and I just love playing the frogs from time to time. And talk about hilarious moments? When all the Tairise frogs get together, it's a hoot. I think we all just get a tad sillier with our frogs.. haha

Yea palen always has me give him apples, honey, tea leaves and fish...never gave him bear meat...he makes tons of stuff with the fish...
BTW the stats the food adds..when they first started with it, it was out of combat stats, which seems totally 100% pointless...have they changed that?

For tier 4 food, the best choices are Hopple apple pie (quest recipe) or a sandwich (bear or snapper). Hopple's needs 2 honey, one apple, plus a few fuel and water but creates a 6hr 3 min item. Sandwiches require the meat (snapper if you have fishing high enough or bear from dens otherwise), a shallot, spice and bread (merchant or crafted) plus fuel and water and create a 5hr 22min item.
For drink of any tier, the fruit tea is the fastest and easiest and creates a 3hr 22min item. It requires the tea leaf, a fruit (apple for tier 4), and a few water and fuel. There are a few drinks that produce longer duration drink but require you to gather/craft from other tier levels plus the normal 4 or 5 items from the tier of the drink. They are 5hr 22 min drinks but more annoying to make than they're worth. Also, there is always coffee that is quick and easy to make....one combine coffee is 40 min duration and 2 combine coffee is 1hr 30 min duration.
All of the above applies to any of the tier levels as far as best food/drink but tier 4/5 are the only ones with the longer duration drinks. With the recent patch, acorns can be gathered in tier 2/3 zones and I do have that quest recipe so any alts/low level characters can get a longer duration food item. It is a level 9 recipe so anyone can make that and produces a 50 min, level 30 SUPERIOR food item. It does require a bit of cross crafting but is something anyone can make.
If there are any questions, let me know. Otherwise send items to me and let me know what you want....food or drink.
One more thing to remember, tier 4 is best for character level 30-39, tier 5 for 40+ character level.

Has anyone noticed? Does food and drink still remain active after you die? I know 2 or 3 updates ago SOE changed it so it did stay up...but... I think I remember hearing someone griping in /ooc about it being stealth change back to no staying up.

Palen, ok then. I have 2 honeys for you in payment for the cookies.... and I have other supplies to email you for food and drink. I'm going to try to go with the 'snapper' but there aren't a whole lot of fishing spots in EL. Are they better in Zek?
Candu, I'm not sure on that one.

Shy, try fishing the rivers and ponds in EL, rather than the seacoast. There's lots more fish nodes in the streams than on the beaches, I think. Candu, you've piqued my curiosity - I'll have to look into that. As an adventurer, I like having my food and drink carry over. As a provisioner... well... that wasn't exactly conducive to business. LOL!! But I don't do commercial provisioning anymore anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Yes, your food and drink remains active after you die now! YAY...After LU 10, it was busted for awhile, and I couldn't figure out why I was going through stacks of food...turns out it was disappearing when I died...they have corrected it again since then though.

FYI, since I am out of town, it is hard for me to do much right now as far as playing. I will fulfill whatever requests I can but as of tomorrow I will be unable to play until I return home. I will be clearing my mailbox in the off chance that something happens so no one loses any items sent to me. But do send any materials and requests to me via mail and I will get on them as soon as possible.

I had bag's full of stuff none of which I seemed to need at any one particular time. And it seemed I never had what I actually did need. So, I decided to take up a simplier hobby (rocket science)
